The VIT-Smooth 500mm Pipe – 150mm offers a robust fixed pipe length of 500mm with an effective installed length of 445mm, ensuring reliable and secure connections within your flue system.

Application:
This 500mm Pipe – 150mm is suitable for use with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances, designed to endure temperatures up to 600 degree. It’s exclusively intended as a connecting pipe between your appliance and the Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System. Please note, it’s not suitable for passing through ceilings or combustible walls.

Construction:
Manufactured from zero carbon steel with a sturdy 1.2mm thickness, the VIT-Smooth 500mm Pipe features a Powder Vitreous Enamel coating of 0.2mm, presenting a sleek matte black finish. Compliant with EN1856-2 T600 N1 Vm L80120 G450 standards, it ensures durability and adherence to stringent safety requirements.

Installation:
During installation, maintain a minimum distance of 450mm from combustible materials like wood or plasterboards. Ensure the correct orientation of the VIT-Smooth – the smaller diameter should always point downward to retain condensates within the flue system.
This friction-fit joint system does not require sealing. For added security, joints may be coated with fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant to prevent condensate leakage and maintain the pipe’s appearance. When cutting the system, cover any exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting over time. Adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) should be worn during installation.

Maintenance:
Facilitate chimney inspection and cleaning by incorporating a VIT-Smooth with access doors at directional changes, especially essential for solid fuel applications. It’s recommended to sweep and maintain chimneys serving solid fuel appliances at least once a year for optimal performance.
