Overview:

An integral part of the MF20 MI-FLEX accessories range, meticulously engineered for compatibility with MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners, ensuring a comprehensive and efficient chimney system when installed in unison.

General Application:

Intended for use alongside MI-FLEX Multi-fuel flexible flue liners, meeting the strict requirements of Building Regulations Document J, mandating the complete enclosure of flexible flue liners within masonry chimneys. Suitable for appliances operating at temperatures up to 600 degrees (T600 designation), accommodating Wood.

Bottom Fixings:

The bottom fixings play a crucial role in facilitating the transition from the connecting flue system to the flexible flue liner. The connection should be enclosed within the existing masonry chimney, ensuring no exposed flex is visible. Proper provisions must be made to secure the bottom fixing into the connecting flue below and the flexible flue above to create a gas-tight seal. Utilization of fire cement, ceramic rope or tape, or high-temperature sealant is advisable for a secure installation.

Regular cleaning and inspection, at least annually, are recommended, along with biannual sweeping for chimneys serving solid fuel appliances, preventing potential blockages or deposits.
