MI-FLEX accessories is a family of installation fitting that have been perfectly designed for use with MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners. When fitted in conjunction together It will make a full system chimney.
General Application
Theses items are to used in conjunction with MI-FLEX Multi fuel flexible flue liner. Building Regulations Document J requires that a flexible flue liner can only be installed completely enclosed inside a masonry chimney. A non-masonry enclosure such as timber or plasterboard boxing in is not acceptable. All items are suitable for use on appliances up to 600 degrees (T600 designation). Suitable for use on Wood, Smokeless coal, Gas and oil.

Designed to work in harmony with MI-FLEX Multi-fuel flexible flue liners, adhering to the stringent requirements stipulated in Building Regulations Document J. This adaptor ensures that a flexible flue liner is completely enclosed within a masonry chimney. Suitable for appliances operating at temperatures up to 600 degrees (T600 designation) and compatible with Wood.
Bottom Fixings:
Bottom fixings play a crucial role in facilitating the transition from the connecting flue system to the flexible flue liner. Ensuring that the connection to the flex remains within the confines of the existing masonry chimney and that no flex is exposed at any point. Proper provisions must be made to secure the bottom fixing into the connecting flue below and the flexible above to create a gas-tight seal. Utilization of fire cement, ceramic rope or tape, or high-temperature sealant is recommended for a secure installation.

Maintenance:
For optimal performance, the chimney system must be designed to facilitate easy access for sweeping and maintenance, carried out by competent personnel. Solid fuel applications should refer to HETAS registered sweeps for proper maintenance guidance. Avoid the use of chemical cleaners or mild steel tools on stainless steel chimneys. Regular cleaning and inspection, at least annually, are recommended, along with biannual sweeping for chimneys serving solid fuel appliances, preventing potential blockages or deposits.
