The Increasing Top Hat Adaptor in 316 stainless steel is ingeniously designed to be installed at the base of the chimney, precisely beneath the register plate. Featuring a rebated connection on the underside of the plate, it facilitates the connecting flue’s smooth 100mm sliding motion, allowing effortless integration or disconnection of the stove. Positioned above the plate, this adaptor to MI-FLEX serves as the transition point to the flexible flue liner, complete with a built-in square cover plate to neatly conceal the hole created in the register plate.

MF20 MI-FLEX accessories offer heavy-duty fittings crafted from premium 0.6mm 316 stainless steel. Bottom Fixings:
Bottom fixings play a crucial role in transitioning from the connecting flue system to the Flexible flue liner. The connection to the flex should remain within the confines of the existing masonry chimney, ensuring no exposed flex at any point. Proper provisions must be made to secure the bottom fixing into the connecting flue below and the flexible above to create a gas-tight seal. Utilization of fire cement, ceramic rope or tape, or high-temperature sealant is advisable for a secure installation.

Specific Application:
The Increasing Top Hat Adaptor in 316 stainless steel is installed beneath the register plate, facilitating the smooth sliding of the connecting flue for seamless integration or disconnection of the stove. Maintenance:
Ensure the chimney system is designed to enable easy access for sweeping and maintenance, to be carried out by a competent person. For solid fuel applications, refer to HETAS registered sweeps for appropriate maintenance guidance. Avoid using chemical cleaners or mild steel tools on stainless steel chimneys. Regular cleaning and inspection should be conducted at least annually, along with biannual sweeping for chimneys serving solid fuel appliances, preventing potential blockages or deposits.
