Installation Guidance

The adaptor should be fitted inside the confines of the existing masonry chimney, ensuring that no flexible liner is exposed. It must be secured firmly to both the connecting flue below and the flexible liner above using suitable high-temperature sealants such as fire cement, ceramic rope, or high-temperature tape. This ensures a completely gas-tight connection in accordance with Building Regulations Document J.

Maintenance

Regular inspection and sweeping of the chimney system are essential to maintain safety and performance. Cleaning should be performed by a competent professional at least once a year — or twice for solid fuel applications. Avoid the use of chemical cleaners or mild steel tools when maintaining stainless steel chimneys.
