MI-FLEX accessories is a family of installation fitting that have been perfectly designed for use with MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners. When fitted in conjunction together It will make a full system chimney.
General Application
Theses items are to used in conjunction with MI-FLEX Multi fuel flexible flue liner. Building Regulations Document J requires that a flexible flue liner can only be installed completely enclosed inside a masonry chimney. A non-masonry enclosure such as timber or plasterboard boxing in is not acceptable. All items are suitable for use on appliances up to 600 degrees (T600 designation). Suitable for use on Wood, Smokeless coal, Gas and oil.

Positioned at the top of the chimney pot, it effectively supports the liner’s weight while being secured to the flex using the standard jubilee fixing method (refer to installation instructions).

Terminals:
Terminals play a crucial role in preventing water, Vermin, and Birds from entering the flue. Pot hanging cowls support the vertical weight of the flue liner within the chimney pot structure, which must be soundly constructed. Chimney pots should be free from cracks, and appropriate flaunching at the stack’s top is necessary.

This standard-fit PH Cowl in 125mm size adheres to the latest BSEN standard, featuring integrated rain protection and bird guard functionality. It not only facilitates chimney liner installation but also ensures bird prevention and superior rain protection.
Maintenance:
For optimum performance, the chimney system should allow easy provision for sweeping and maintenance. Sweeping must be conducted by competent personnel. Avoid using chemical cleaners or mild steel tools on stainless steel chimneys. Regular cleaning and inspection, at least annually, are recommended to prevent deposits or blockages, especially in chimneys serving solid fuel appliances.
