The VIT-Smooth 1000mm Pipe – 125mm is a rigid, fixed pipe designed with an effective installed length of 945mm, serving as a critical component in flue systems.

Application:
This pipe is engineered for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances capable of handling temperatures up to 600 degree. It’s exclusively intended for connecting appliances to Flue Liners, Chimney Stacks, or Twin Wall Flue Systems. Remember, the VIT-Smooth pipe is specifically designated for connecting purposes and should not be used to traverse combustible ceilings or walls.

Construction:
Manufactured from zero carbon steel, the VIT-Smooth system boasts a single skin connecting flue design, fortified with a Powder vitreous enamel coating in an elegant matt black finish. Its robust construction ensures suitability for various high-temperature applications.

Installation:
Ensure a minimum distance of 375mm between any section of the VIT-Smooth 1000mm pipe and combustible materials like wood or plaster. Correct installation orientation is crucial, with the smaller diameter always pointing downward to retain condensates within the flue system. Utilizing a friction-fit joint system eliminates the need for additional sealing. However, for added reassurance, joints can be sealed with fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant to prevent condensate escape and maintain the pipe’s aesthetic integrity.

Maintenance:
Routine inspection and maintenance of chimneys are pivotal, especially for solid fuel applications. Incorporating VIT-Smooth with access doors at directional changes eases inspection. Annual sweeping and maintenance of chimneys serving solid fuel appliances are recommended for optimal functionality.
