The VIT-Smooth 90 degree Tee and Cap – 150mm is designed for seamless integration when connecting the flue to the rear outlet of an appliance. This tee assembly includes a tee cap for the base, facilitating easy sweeping access, ensuring optimal maintenance.

Application:
Ideal for use with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances, this component handles temperatures up to 600 degree. Its purpose is to serve as a connecting pipe between your appliance and the Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System. Avoid using it to pass through ceilings or combustible walls for safety reasons.

Construction:
Crafted meticulously from zero carbon steel, the VIT-Smooth tee and cap feature a sturdy 1.2mm thickness coated with a durable 0.2mm Powder Vitreous Enamel finish in matte black. This construction adheres to EN1856-2 T600 N1 Vm L80120 G450 standards, ensuring reliability and compliance with stringent safety regulations.

Installation:
Ensure a safe installation by maintaining a minimum distance of 160mm from combustible materials such as wood or plasterboards. Always orient the VIT-Smooth correctly, with the smaller diameter pointing downward to retain condensates within the flue system.
Employing a friction-fit joint system, the tee and cap assembly doesn’t require joint sealing. However, for added security, each joint can be coated with a jointing compound like fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant to prevent condensate escape and maintain the pipe’s appearance. When cutting the system, cover any exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting over time. Always prioritize safety by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during installation.

Maintenance:
Ensure chimney inspection and cleaning provisions, especially crucial for solid fuel applications. Consider installing the VIT-Smooth with access doors at changes of direction to facilitate easy maintenance. Sweeping and maintaining chimneys serving solid fuel appliances at least once a year is recommended for optimal functionality.
