The VIT-Smooth Smooth 45 degree Elbow – 150mm is an intelligently designed two-segment elbow providing a precise 45-degree angle for offset applications. Refer to the dimensions tab for specific offset details.

Application:
Engineered to be compatible with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances capable of withstanding temperatures up to 600 degree. Ideal for use exclusively as a connecting pipe between your appliance and Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System. Caution: Not suitable for passing through ceilings or combustible walls.

Construction:
Crafted from zero carbon steel, this single skin connecting flue system boasts a robust 1.2mm thickness and is coated with a durable 0.2mm Powder Vitreous Enamel finish in an elegant matte black. Compliant with EN1856-2 T600 N1 Vm L80120 G450 standards, ensuring reliability and safety.

Installation:
Maintain a minimum distance of 160mm from combustible materials like wood or plasterboards during installation. Ensure the correct orientation of the VIT-Smooth – the smaller diameter should always point downward to retain condensates within the flue system.
Featuring a friction-fit joint system, it does not require joint sealing. However, for added security, consider applying a jointing compound like fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant to prevent condensate leakage and maintain the pipe’s appearance. When cutting the system, cover any exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting over time. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during installation.

Maintenance:
Ensure the provision for easy chimney inspection and cleaning by installing the VIT-Smooth Smooth 45 degree Elbow. Particularly beneficial for solid fuel applications, regular chimney sweeping and maintenance, at least once a year, are recommended for chimneys serving solid fuel appliances for optimal performance.
